The
Challenge

Wellow, a premium compression sock brand, was successfully scaling on Meta but sought to diversify their ad spend due to rising costs. They hired us to create content for CTV, TV, and YouTube. Their goal was to produce ads that clearly showcased the product while maintaining a unique, brandable, and premium feel. We needed a creative approach that would appeal to an older demo who were already familiar and purchasing compression socks, while also educating and attracting a younger audience into the health benefits of compression socks at any age.

The
idea

A spokesperson, direct to camera, concept felt right for this campaign in order to show off the socks and clearly explain the benefits. After ideating on the most interesting way to bring this to life, we landed on “Sockrates” the wise sock wearer. Within the same project and repurposing a portion of the shoot, we also created the “Circulation Shuffle” to highlight the problem most people face.

The
execution

How exactly does a modern day “Sockrates” look and sound? That was the first task we tackled with scripting and costume design for the spots. We filmed all sockrates and b-roll content in a day, coming out with 4 unique 15s and 30s spots for Sockrates. One day two, we rented out an LA grocery store and filmed everything we needed to also separately build the “Circulation Shuffle” ads…complete with a custom made song and dance moves. Coming to spotify soon.
